In general, the most of the recovery occurs in the first week and the scar is completely disappeared. If there are any, the swellings and bruises also vanish. Generally, after one week the stitches and casts are removed (absorbable sutures do not need to be removed). In this period the nose might look edematous, bigger than normal and tip-tilted. In usual, the edema disappears at the end of first months however this can differentiate according to the skin structure of the patient. The time needed for the nose to take its normal shape is approximately 6 months. After this, some little changes continue until the end of 2 years. However, 90% of the shaping is complete at the end of the 6th month.
